On Monday Sarah and I got some mountain bikes from Target. Yes, we bought our high-performance machines from the same place you can get baby food and boxer shorts. I actually haven’t had a bike since about the year 1999 when I left my last one attached to a pole right next to a building that got demolished, so it’s great to now be able to either run messages around town or compete in the Tour de France, whichever my fancy chooses. But not whenever. Yesterday it was like 60 degrees here; today there’s a half foot of snow on our deck. Oh! Denver.
